Pay for what you run, not for a seat that sits idle
TaskMate is priced in credits. Deterministic steps — the vast majority of what your tasks do — cost a fraction of a credit. You only pay model rates on the steps where you deliberately ask for AI.
Enough to build your first few tools and see a real task run end to end.

How credits work
One credit is worth about a cent. What a task costs depends almost entirely on how much of it is deterministic — which, by design, is nearly all of it.
| What | Rate | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Deterministic actions Clicks, navigations, form fills, extractions, assertions | 0.02 credits per action | No token cost at all |
| AI-assisted steps Only the steps you explicitly opt in, where judgement is needed | Per 1,000 tokens | Input, cached and output billed at different rates |
| Connector fees Third-party API calls made during a run | Metered separately | Shown as its own line in your usage |
What that means in practice
- A 30-step task, run once0.6 credits ≈ $0.006
- A daily reconciliation, for a month≈ 26 credits
- Onboarding 40 vendors≈ 28 credits
- A batch of 800 spreadsheet rows≈ 290 credits
Which is why the free plan's 150 credits go further than they sound like they should: most tasks are pure deterministic playback.
