Pricing

Pay for what you run, not for a seat that sits idle

TaskMate is priced in credits. Deterministic steps — the vast majority of what your tasks do — cost a fraction of a credit. You only pay model rates on the steps where you deliberately ask for AI.

How credits work

One credit is worth about a cent. What a task costs depends almost entirely on how much of it is deterministic — which, by design, is nearly all of it.

What that means in practice

  • A 30-step task, run once0.6 credits ≈ $0.006
  • A daily reconciliation, for a month≈ 26 credits
  • Onboarding 40 vendors≈ 28 credits
  • A batch of 800 spreadsheet rows≈ 290 credits

Which is why the free plan's 150 credits go further than they sound like they should: most tasks are pure deterministic playback.

Pricing questions

What does a credit actually buy?
1 credit ≈ $0.01. A deterministic action costs 0.02 credits, so a task with 30 steps costs about 0.6 credits — well under a cent. The 150 free credits each month cover a great deal of ordinary use. AI-assisted steps are billed per 1,000 tokens, and you'll see both kinds broken out separately in your usage view.
Do unused credits roll over?
The free allowance resets each billing cycle rather than accumulating. Top-up credits on paid plans don't expire at the end of a cycle.
When do the paid tiers get real prices?
We're setting them with our first users rather than guessing in a spreadsheet. If you're running enough volume to need one, talk to us and we'll work it out together — early users get to keep whatever we agree.
What happens if I stop paying?
You drop back to the free plan. Your tools and tasks stay where they are; you just get the free allowance of credits each month rather than the paid one.
